Darasuram

This is a temple known as Airavarteeswarar. There is another temple in Tamil Nadu at Darasuram, where Indra’s(chief of the Devatas) elephant worshipped Shiva. This is one of the major Temples built by King Raja Raja Chozhan 2, the others being Thanjavur Brahatheeswara Temple and Gangaikonda Choxhapuram. The sculptures are exquisite and Darasuram is World Heritage site.

  I was begging my Father to take me out of the HOUSE (I meant for a vacation)😜. He was like "What, In Covid Times.No Way" That was the First Time He Declined A HOLIDAY 😢😢!!! A visit to an Exhibition

  Last month a grand exhibition was held in our city😊😊. My friends and I went to see it in the evening. Our first impression on entering the grounds was that the whole thing looked like a fairyland🧚🧚. The vast space was decorated in magnificent, bright and purple colour and lit up with countless lights😍😍. Men, women and children were moving from corner to corner, admiring the beauty of all kinds of stalls set up💟. These stalls were like small shops. While the stalls made a very interesting sight, what attracted us most was the Children's Corner in the exhibition. The Children's Corner was crowded with boys and girls. All types of amusements could be seen here. Children and some grown-ups were enjoying the giant wheel, wooden hoses, dodge-cars, railway train and other things. I too had my share of fun with my friends and returned home after enjoying a most delightful evening.👀😍😍😺

An Inspiring story of a girl in Srivilliputhur

  Kothai was born in Srivilliputhur to Periyazhwar . Periyazhwar was a Priest/Azhwar. One day when he wanted to offer Garlands to Sri Vatapathrasayee, He saw a beautiful Baby Girl near a Tulsi Pot. He wondered how the baby got here. Periyazhwar took the baby as Blessings from Perumal. He nurtured the baby as his own daughter and named her as Kothai (One with Beautiful Hair). Kothai grew up Hearing Stories of Sri Krishna. Hearing these Stories, Kothai wanted to marry Sri Krishna.   In the month Of Marghazhi, Kothai did Pavai Nombu (Karthiyayani Vratam) to marry Lord Krishna, She Composed 30 Pasurams known as Thiruppavai. She tells the Do’s and Don’ts and what to be followed to Attain Moksha.  After a few days, Perumal took an Incarnation and married Kothai. Kothai is known as Andal (THE GIRL WHO WON AND RULED GOD’S HEART).
